Abandoned

Shall we wait until our life’s contract terminates, or do we simply pick another role?

While we are waiting for the next train to arrive, time accelerates and leaves us behind in desolation; sooner or later, we will end up in an abandoned station.

Life offers us many roles, with each achievement or failure we reach, we learn and grow. Regardless of whether we attain the desired goal or not, we form new conclusions through the experiences we gain throughout our mission to accomplish what is required from our roles. We gain the bad as well as the good, but what mostly matters is that we accept our intended roles.

We must understand our roles and why we are involved in each one of them. While the key to success is to focus on a goal, achieve the purpose, and move on, one major obstacle to achieving success is tunneling; when we become entrenched and anchored to a single role we miss opprtunities. Once we become a role, we become prisoners of other’s needs, reducing all what we can do for ourselves to be only seen when we are needed.

There are many stations in life, where the trains approach, stagnate, and board those who wisely decide to move on. If we decide to wait and miss one stop after another, we will miss all those opportunities that can deepen our knowledge and experiences. The last train is yet to reach the last stop. Shall we wait until our life’s contract expires, or do we simply pick another role?
