A Close Call
Are we smart or lucky?
We saw the bullet coming toward us, but we acted ignorantly.
Life is interesting because it is full of trials. It is also unfair because not everyone gets the same level of challenging difficulties! While many successful people live and enjoy their blessings, others have no time to breathe while dealing with their life encounters.
When people have time to catch their breaths, they complain about the injustice of life. They try hard to find out the reasons behind their challenging missions.
They like to believe that their challenges are crucial because they are more innovative. With time, their minds become extremely sick that those same minds embrace the deceptions of their superiority while missing all the blessings in their own lives.
The other “lucky” ones feel that life is easy because they are natural; they get all it takes to enjoy it. They are the chosen ones. They also look down on those struggling and miss acquiring higher knowledge and deeper awareness.
We were looking at the bullet, but we also were poised and confident it would never hit us. Life has given us a lot of impossible assignments, and we passed them all.
We have passed through various experiences from which we gained all the skills, tools, and willingness to thwart life itself. Then life offered a new kind of the challenge; it was more like a lesson in the form of a bullet targeting a part of our hearts - a loved one, only to scratch but not kill.
It put us in a place where we humbly wondered: Are we wise or lucky?
I appreciate that we were both! It was a very close call!
